LOGO on the GOGO – Download the FREE App and WIN the original board game

We love board games, especially at Christmas, but I’m sick of tidying up after the kids have finished playing and trying not to lose any of the pieces! So the idea of being able to play, when I want, wherever I am, without a mess to clear up or worrying about lost or losing pieces sounds wonderful to me! Plus I like games and apps that me or the kids can play quickly and easily on our tablet’s when we have time to kill! In fact I’m getting my 3yr old a tablet for Christmas as she’s forever playing on mine or her siblings tablets!

LOGO Board Game App

Drumond Park (who we love, having had some of the products to review in the past and even winning a copy of their Best of TV and Movie board game last year which was a huge hit last Christmas!) have released a free LOGO app, which follows on from their successful range of Logo family board games. Designed for the iPhone and the iPad (with an android and kindle version hopefully released in the future), it neatly and cleverly changes the game into one which can be played on the go.

LOGO app

With hundreds of everyday British and other well known logos, such as Birds Eye, Argos, Tesco, British Gas, Vauxhall, National Express and many many more appearing in the game!  The LOGO app is broken down into seven convenient, bite-sized questions types – reveal, blur, tilt, grid, shape, trivia and colour and twelve increasingly difficult levels of play. Each level contains 20 questions which must be completed in a certain amount of time, and once completed the next level is unlocked. Each level uses a mix of the question types, involving more than 1,100 questions and almost 3oo images.  As you work your way through each level of the game, you can check progress on the levels screen, which shows completed levels in green alongside your best recorded time. Unfinished levels are shown in red, or you can go back and try and beat your best score on previous levels.

The seven question types offer a different challenge with each round and in every case you type the answer from the letters appearing at the bottom of the screen before the timer runs out.

  • Reveal – Rub the screen with a finger to gradually expose the image hidden beneath
  • Blur – Watch the screen as a well-known image slowly comes into focus
  • Tilt – Tilt the screen to to move the circle around to reveal an image hidden beneath
  • Grid – You select a square from the grid to reveal part of an image. Extra squares can be revealed but with a 10 second penalty
  • Shape – Try to guess an image from just it’s outline before the timer runs out
  • Trivia – Select the correct answer from the multiple choice answers
  • Colour – Work out the correct colour of the part of the logo flashing grey on a black and white image of a well-known logo or packaging

Now sadly I don’t have an iPhone or iPad (although I will be forever grateful if someone wants to give me one!) and I cannot try the game and must wait impatiently for the android release, but I must say the game does sound lots of fun, and perfect for killing time whilst waiting for an appointment, travelling on the train to work, or at any other time!

Best of all, until the 31st December, The Official LOGO Board Game app is FREE from the iTunes App Store!!!

Now since the app is already free, I can’t offer it as a prize, however Drumond Park have kindly given me a copy of the original and popular LOGO picture board game to give away as a competition prize, which would make somebody an ideal Christmas present (which will be here before we know it!).

So to be in with a chance to win this fantastic prize, just use rafflecopter below to enter! The competition is open to the UK only and ends on the 31st October 2013. Good luck!
